Church in Society
This ministry
deals with a variety of issues that
are facing the church and society today, such as homosexuality,
abortion, public education, prayer in schools, etc.
Member
Care
This is a
ministry caring for the needs of our sick
and dying and their families. Meals are prepared for sick at
home. Receptions are hosted following funerals / memorial
services. Members and friends can bring food or help with
receptions. Assisting members with rides to doctors or the
grocery store is another way to help, as well as maintenance and
repairs in specific situations.
Food
Pantry
The Pantry at the Church is for distribution in emergency situations.
A box is provided in the narthex for donations of food.
Food is also shared with the Living Bread Ministry of IWV who
coordinates the needs of the valley.
Holiday
Food Baskets -
Pat Wharton and Janet Hughes
We participate in the community Holiday Food Basket program during
Thanksgiving and Christmas. Volunteers are needed to purchase
food for families assigned to Grace.
Scouting
We
are thankful to members and friends of
scouting for a very active Cub Scouts (Pack 848) and Boy Scouts (Troop
848). Activities are held weekly and monthly. There
is a
place for boys starting in Tiger Cub (first grade, ages 6 or 7 years
old) to Eagle Scout (age 18).
